Roisin’s passion for helping animals began at a very early age and her vocation in the animal field was decided long before the 5+ years of direct training began to become a veterinary physiotherapist. She completed her BSc (Hons) Animal Science in 2010, during which time she volunteered at a number of equine and small animal rescue centers Devon, Dorset and Somerset. Roisin began working at the South West’s leading hydrotherapy and rehabilitation centre in 2012 where she was involved as a canine hydrotherapist in the rehabilitation of many hundreds of dogs, gaining crucial first-hand experience of a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions. Roisin has a particular interest in neurology having aided many animals post-surgically conservatively managed. Working here also enabled Roisin to work alongside an holistic veterinary surgeon, where she also witnessed the benefits of natural and herbal medicine – an area of research that she keenly follows. With a passion for learning and expanding her knowledge, Roisin pursued her postgraduate degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Harper Adams University and graduated in 2016.
Roisin is a fully insured member of NAVP and keeps up to date with the latest in veterinary physiotherapy by attending multiple CPD events throughout the year.
Alongside work as a veterinary physiotherapist, Roisin has a young daughter, two horses, three dogs and two cats who keep her very busy!
